Why Am I Being Charged?
-
The only employer charge associated with a workers’ compensation visit is typically for drug or alcohol testing.
-
These services fall under employer responsibility according to most carrier guidelines.
Information regarding claims: MainStreet Family Care strives to offer excellent care and services in rural areas for workers compensation patients. Our standard business model primarily employs nurse practitioners which is communicated on our website and in our facility. We are requesting that the office visit for this patient not be denied for the provider being out of scope of practice. Per workers compensation laws, a nurse practitioner can treat workers compensation patients if they have access to consulting with a Medical Doctor, which we provide our staff. Please allow this notice to serve as a request to handle this before a denial is issued.
