UPDATE 4/5/2021

We will resume vaccines at all MainStreet and KidsStreet clinics starting Thursday 4/8/21. Only select clinics will resume with the Moderna vaccine, but the majority of our clinics will now be administering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. To learn more about how to register online to receive the vaccine, click here.

We apologize, but we are unable to provide you with your vaccination today.

We are working hand in hand with ADPH and are confident we will be able to reschedule everyone within the CDC’s recommended time frame. You may contact your county health department or contact another vaccine provider such as Walmart to see if they have adequate stock to fulfill your second dose.

Second Dose Patients

Please read this page carefully as it will provide information that will allow you to make informed decisions concerning how to go about receiving your second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

  • Once we receive the necessary supply, you will receive an automated text which will allow you to reschedule your second dose. Once you’ve been rescheduled, you will once again register online the morning you’re rescheduled for in order to check in with the clinic.
  • Additionally, you can find other sites providing the COVID-19 vaccine through your local county health department (listed below) or through the ADPH Alabama COVID-19 Dashboard Hub or the GDPH Vaccination Site List.
  • CDC guidelines recommend, “Administer the second dose as close to the recommended interval (28 days) as possible. If the second dose is not administered within 6 weeks of the first dose, the series does not need to be restarted.” You are welcome to wait for our next shipment from ADPH or obtain your second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at another vaccination site.
  • Please do not visit the clinic. They will not be able to assist you. You must successfully register online prior to visiting the clinic.
  • Please do not call the clinic. Updates and patient communication will be provided via text or email. Our care coordination team will reach out to you while our clinic staff is focusing 100% on patient care.
  • Please be patient. We are helping you, and many others, as fast as we can.

First Dose Patients

If you have not yet received your first dose:

  • Please continue to check our website for updates.
  • Subscribe to our text updates by texting the word MAINSTREET to (866) 824-0638 and we will provide updates on expanding criteria and changes in vaccine availability.
  • Our web registration will be updated every morning with vaccine availability. If COVID-19 vaccine is not an option on our menu, then we do not have doses available on that day.

MainStreet Family Care began administering COVID-19 vaccines approximately 6 weeks ago. We have administered over 18,000 doses of the vaccine, and are eager to continue to provide this service to our communities. We thank you for your patience. We are confident that every Alabamian that wants a vaccine will receive one.
