MainStreet Family Care provides COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines at each location!

MainStreet is open late, 7 days a week, providing convenient care for your entire family. Whether you need to be tested for COVID-19 or to get your Moderna booster shot, MainStreet has you covered.

COVID-19 Testing

MainStreet Family Care offers three types of COVID-19 testing: the viral swab test (PCR), COVID-19 rapid test, and antibody test.

PCR Viral Swab Test

The PCR test uses a nasal swab to help determine if you currently have the COVID-19 virus in your body. Test results take longer to get back but are the most accurate out of all the Covide-19 tests.

Rapid Antigen Test

The rapid test also uses a nasal swab to determine if someone has COVID-19. The rapid antigen test results can immediately be given to you in the office but cannot detect tiny traces of the virus.

Antibody Test

The antibody test can tell you if you had COVID-19 in the past. The test is typically a blood test. You can learn more about this type of test on the antibody testing page

How Long Does it Take to Get Test Results?

COVID-19 rapid antigen test results are processed in less than 20 minutes. PCR and Antibody test results are typically available in 3-7 days. Someone will call you with the test results as soon as they are available.

How To Prepare For COVID-19 Testing

  • Please wear a mask if you come to the clinic for a test. Wearing a facemask is the best way to limit any potential spread.
  • If you are experiencing symptoms, we will test you for COVID-19 and other infections if needed.
  • The COVID-19 rapid swab test takes up to 20 minutes to process, and you will have your results before you leave the clinic.
  • The PCR and Antibody test results are typically available in 3-7 days. Our clinic will contact you with ready results.

COVID-19 Treatment

MainStreet Family Care offers two types of treatment for COVID-19. If you tested positive, you could be eligible to take the Paxlovid pill or receive the monoclonal antibody infusion.

COVID-19 Prescription

The Paxlovid pill has authorization by the FDA and is the latest treatment for those considered high risk for COVID-19. Paxlovid can be prescribed to anyone 12 and older who weighs at least 88 pounds. This form of treatment can be taken at home and is a form of antiviral therapy. Paxlovid is taken twice a day for five days and works best within the first five days of COVID-19 symptoms.

Monoclonal Antibody Infusion

The monoclonal antibody infusion has authorization by the FDA and treats COVID-19 through immunotherapy. The monoclonal antibodies make the immune system respond better, allowing the body to attack COVID-19 more effectively. We offer the monoclonal antibody treatment for those who are 12 or older and weigh at least 88 pounds.

You must be within 10 days of the onset of COVID-19 symptoms to receive this treatment. The monoclonal antibodies are in an IV, which takes approximately two hours. You can receive this form of treatment at any of our MainStreet Family Care locations if you have tested positive for COVID-19.

You can learn more about the monoclonal antibody influence on our blog.

COVID-19 Vaccines

We offer the Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for everyone 12 and up at all MainStreet Family Care locations.

The Moderna vaccine is FDA approved and requires two doses administered 28 days apart. We also offer COVID-19 vaccine booster shots if you have had both doses. Please consult your primary care doctor if you have questions about the Moderna vaccine.

You can learn more about the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on our blog.
